Annie Doris Armstrong, age 77, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at her residence.
Annie was born April 6, 1941, in Clarksville, TN, to the late John Steve Watson and Mable Darnell Watson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Franklin Armstrong; four sisters, Peggy Jean Dufrene, Shirley Ann Darnell, Christine Atkins, and Louise Johnson; her twin brother, Franklin Watson; and two other brothers, John Watson and Paul Watson.
Annie was loved deeply by her family. She was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, June 1, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Shelton officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 1, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Annie is survived by her daughter, Melissa Joy Armstrong (Robert Shortt) of Clarksville; grandson, Jessie David Armstrong of Clarksville; brother, Steve Watson of Woodlawn, TN; sister, Nancy Jeanette (Wayne) Jackson of Woodlawn, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jarod Watson, Bobby Darnell, Jr., Brien Dill, Jacob Gregory, Johnny Biemesderfer, and Anthony Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Biemesderfer, Neil Armstrong, Pat Armstrong, Kevin Armstrong, and Mike Armstrong.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
