CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) is seeking information regarding two separate robberies that may somehow be connected.
According to Officer Natalie Hall, two women ages 69 and 52 were robbed Oct. 28 as they were returning to the 69-year-old’s home on Goodlett Dr. They told police they had just visited a lotto store in Oak Grove, Ky.
The older woman said she was pushed to the ground by a black male wearing a bandana as she was walking to the front door of the house. The suspect searched her for money and took over $500 from both victims before fleeing.
The 69-year-old reported a second robbery on the morning of Nov. 8. She told police two black males kicked in her door while she was sleeping, held her at gunpoint, and demanded money. She said she gave the men $200. The victim said the suspects asked if she had any other money in her vehicle and inquired about the 52-year-old victim from the previous robbery, who was not present at the time.
Prior to the second robbery, 69-year-old victim said she had visited the same lotto store, and believes she may have been followed from that location. She was unable to give detailed descriptions of the suspects.
CPD believes the suspects may live or spend time around the area of the victim’s home and may have been watching her. Officer Hall said multiple Asian women have been targeted and victimized in the same area in recent years.
