CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Applications are now available for the upcoming Teen Citizens Police Academy (TCPA) class.

The class will start on July 23, 2018 and end on July 27, 2018 (Monday to Friday). Classes are from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Candidates must be in the 7th grade through senior in high school.

The TCPA is a one week program that covers police/teen specific subject matter, including school violence/bullying, crime scene information, use of force information (Taser), the Explorer Program, BOMB Squad, jail, 911 operations, TACT team, K-9 information, traffic crash information, and more.

The class is free of charge and you can download the application from the City of Clarksville website.

You can also pick up and drop off your application at Police Headquarters at 135 Commerce Street, marked Attention: Officer Gregory Granderson.

Additionally, after completion of the application, you can return it via email to gregory.granderson@cityofclarksville.com

The class size is limited and there are currently 13 slots still available, so applications should be submitted as soon as possible.
