CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Northwest High School’s Athletic Department regrets to share that Coach Vincent Turner has decided to resign from his teaching and coaching position at the conclusion of this school year.

Coach Turner announced on March 21, 2018 that he desires to pursue an alternate career path and possibly a college coaching position, and thus will not be returning to Northwest High School for the 2018–2019 school year.

“I want to thank everyone at Northwest for their support and love. What we have accomplished will be the foundation for years to come. Special thanks to the administration for believing in me and my programs,” Coach Turner said.

“We are sad to see Coach Turner leave our Viking family, but we are supportive of his personal desires and aspirations,” Athletic Director Jessica Peppard said. “We are grateful for the work he has done and for the impact he has made on our athletic programs and students.”
