CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Networking Group hosted its first quarterly Entrepreneur Open House February 20, 2018 at Entrepreneur Center to drive local business relationships.
“The purpose of the (event) was to promote business-to-business collaborations and to provide industry specific best practices for local entrepreneurs,” said Richard Reason Garrett, Founder, Clarksville Entrepreneur Center.
Clarksville’s innovation community of 57 emerging leaders gathered from a variety of different sectors including tax preparation, real estate, lock smith, photography, banking and security, to name a few.
Since November of 2003, CNG has been part of the business scene for emerging leaders by offering support other professionals within the networking group. CNG helps founders and startup business owners improve business practices, identify developing business trends, develop marketing skills and build relationships .
Keynote speaker Katie Gambill, President and Manager, 5 Star Radio Group, offered real-world advice to the group of attendees about her humble beginnings in the medical field and successful transition into media relations.
“I was honored to be invited to share with such an energetic group of professionals,” said Gambill. “I admire their support of each other.”
The ability to network is one of the most crucial skills any entrepreneur can have. Networking can lead to qualified referrals originate from one-on-one collaborations with others in a network.
“What stood out to me the most was the positive energy from a supportive networking environment,” said Gambill. “It’s that kind of encouragement and support that helps our local businesses grow.”
Dittrich Majeed, Owner, Mrs. Dee Cleaning Company & More LLC., received a personal invite to the CNG Open House from Garrett. Her business opened its doors for business in January 2016.
Majeed said attending the Open House has already opened new doors of opportunity for her business. In fact, Majeed became the newest member of the Entrepreneur Center immediately following the event.
