CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police officers caught a vehicle burglar in the act while on patrol Thursday night/early Friday morning (Feb. 16, 2018).
According to a news release, Lt. Hendrickson spotted a man inside of a fenced lot of a towing company on the 2500 block of Fort Campbell Blvd. around midnight.
Officers went into the lot and found a man identified as 34-year-old Derrick Harris hiding underneath a vehicle.
Officers canvassed the area and found two vehicles that had been broken into. There were other vehicles which had been rummaged through but nothing was taken.
Harris was booked into Montgomery County Jail and charged with two counts of vehicle burglary. His bond was set at $60,000.
