CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Rising flood waters on the Cumberland River have forced city officials to close Liberty Park and the Clarksville Marina.
Water over roads is blocking access to much of the park, including Freedom Point, Clarksville Marina and the park’s boat ramps.
Wooden walking trails around the pond and the fishing dock were totally submerged at 7:00 am Sunday.
Boat ramps at Trice Landing and McGregor Park are also inaccessible. Sidewalks at McGregor Park are taped off due to high water levels.
On Saturday, Clarksville Parks and Recreation announced that the Swan Lake and Mason Rudolph Golf Courses were closed due to localized flooding.
