This Veterans Day, military personnel will have many opportunities to take advantage of discounts from a wide variety of businesses.

When looking for Veterans Day deals, it is important to keep in mind that both local and national companies are offering deals during the holiday, and many of them have terms that require proof of military service. Some businesses will accept anything from a current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) to a photograph in uniform, though most prefer military IDs or veterans organizations cards. To determine what kind of identification a business requires, it is recommended that veterans and their families call ahead before visiting a specific location. It is also important to ask if the local store is participating in the deals offered by its national group.

Restaurants, national parks and attractions, airlines, hotels, and banks are among those giving special offers in honor of Veterans Day.

See the list of these offers below:

Screaming Eagle Car Wash: Screaming Eagle Carwash, located at 1935 Tiny Town Road and 1992 Madison Street, will provide free $3 car washes (or $3 off any other wash) to veterans and active duty military personnel Monday, Nov. 11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Washes will be given rain or shine at both locations to honor those who serve.

This service is provided as part of the Grace for Vets Free Wash Program, founded by Mike Mountz, former owner of Cloister Wash & Lube in PA in 2004.

“This day is not about the car wash operators who are providing the free washes, it’s about honoring and recognizing those that have and are serving and protecting our country,” said Jeff Burkhart, owner of Screaming Eagle Car Wash. “It’s an exciting and emotional day for everyone. Our management team and employees look forward to giving back to those that have given so much.”
