CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – More than 30 guns were stolen from Double Tap Tactical on Christmas morning.

Clarksville police said officers responded less than six minutes after the burglar alarm activation, but a trio of smash-and-grab thieves had already fled the scene with 31 stolen firearms.

A video posted on the store’s Facebook page shows three suspects entering the store, smashing display cases, and stealing firearms.

Upon finding that the front door had been smashed, officers tactically cleared the building at 3:16 a.m. and discovered that several display cases had also been smashed and emptied. Store security video shows three individuals in hoodies smashing the glass front door and the display cases with hammers before filling several bags with firearms from the cases.

The thieves stole 25 semi-automatic pistols, three revolvers, and three rifles. The brand names included Glock, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Walther, Taurus, Sig-Sauer, and several others.

Detectives are following several leads; the ATF is also working this case.

Tactical Edge at 1925 Ft. Campbell Blvd. was also burglarized in June of this year. The suspects stole 45 firearms.
