CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – You can recycle your live Christmas tree at two local parks this year.

Montgomery County Parks and Recreation will collect live Christmas trees at Rotary Park (2308 Rotary Park Drive). Trees must be cleared of all ornaments and decorations.

Follow the arrow signs to the back of the park and you will see the drop-off area next to the large electric tower to the right of the playground area.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 1, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Forestry Division and the Clarksville Tree Board will offer Clarksville residents fresh-cut Christmas tree recycling at Heritage Park.

Residents can drop off their undecorated, unbagged, live Christmas trees during park hours, dawn until dusk, through Friday, Jan. 12. The tree drop off area will be in the parking lot nearest the soccer complex at Heritage Park.

Cumberland Tree Service will chip the fresh-cut trees and the mulch will be used in City parks.
