CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police have taken a suspect into custody who was wanted for allegedly threatening another man with a knife.
Jonathan Ray Humphrey was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
An officer found him Dec. 6 around 3:30 a.m. inside a vehicle in front of a Cherry Tree Drive home.
Police said on Nov. 7 around 4:20 p.m. a 31-year-old jogger got into an argument with the owners of a large pit bull because the dog was not on a leash. The jogger said the dog was running toward him.
Humphrey is accused of pulling out a large knife and walking toward the jogger, who ran into a convenience store to get away. The victim said Humphrey followed him inside, yelled profanities, then walked out of the store.
