CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A local woman is asking for the public’s help in locating her client’s emotional support dog, who may have been taken by a stranger in a parking lot.

Blossom, a 4-year-old tan and white chihuahua, went missing from the Lafayette Rd. area Oct. 21. She was found by a neighbor who brought her to Montgomery County Animal Control Monday. The neighbor said while she was in the parking lot, a woman offered to take the dog and she reportedly gave Blossom to the woman.

The woman who contacted ClarksvilleNow.com said Animal Control does not have any evidence of the alleged incident on their security cameras. They also told the woman they have no dogs matching Blossom’s description.

Blossom’s owner is disabled and was going through the process of having Blossom identified as an Emotional Support Animal.

“She is devastated and begs that whoever took her from the Animal Control parking lot, or whoever has her, to do the right thing and return her to the owner that has had her for more than three years,” said the woman who issued the missing dog notice.

Anyone who has information about Blossom can call 931-206-8706. The owner said Blossom can also be returned to Animal Control (616 N. Spring Street) and no questions will be asked by the owner.
