Brentwood, Tenn. – (ESPNCLARKSVILLE) The adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Offensive as well as Newcomer Player of the Week is Isaiah Johnson. Johnson is a Running Back for Easter Illinois from Clarksville who attended Rossview High School.
Johnson, a transfer from Moorpark College, rushing for 236 yards on 32 carries (7.4 ypc) in Eastern Illinois’ 27-24 double overtime victory at Murray State. It marked the eighth-highest single-game rushing total in school history and ranks ninth in the FCS this season.
Johnson scored on a four-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to put the Panthers ahead 21-7. He added 17 yards in the two overtime periods.
