CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) Clarksville Academy’s girls golf team finished third place in the 2017 Division II, Class A State Tournament at WillowBrook Golf Club in Manchester, TN.

Hunter Farrell shot a 4-over 76 on Day 2 of the tournament for a two-round score of 161 finishing tied for 4th place. Michaela Dowdy shot a 84 on Tuesday for a two-round score of 178 finishing 11th overall.

Franklin Road Academy won the tournament shooting a two-round 301. Boyd Buchanan finished second with a two-round 327.

The Clarksville Academy boys golf team shot a 327 on Monday putting them in 4th place with the final day on Tuesday.

Wyatt Samuels shot a 3-under 69 on Day 1 of the Division II Class A boys state golf tournament at WillowBrook Golf Club in Manchester, TN. Wyatt Samuels is two shots off the lead heading into the final day.

Christian Academy of Knoxville leads the boys side of the tournament with a score of 305. St. George’s is in second with a 308 and University School of Nashville is third after posting a 311 on Monday. Clarksville Academy is fourth with a 327, Knoxville Webb is fifth (329), and University School of Jackson is sixth (330).

Individually for CA, Wyatt Samuels (69-3rd), Patton Samuels (81-18th), Samuel Nicholson (85-t25th), Taylor Norris (92-34th), and Bryson Batson (98-36th).

Individually for CA, Hunter Farrell shot an 85 (7th) and Michaela Dowdy shot a 94 (15th).
