CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A puppy hit by a car and left for dead is in need of community assistance to get the treatment she needs.
A local animal advocate said the 4-month-old puppy, Grace, was hit by a car September 4 around 11:30 p.m. The driver did not stop and left the puppy on the side of the road.
A good Samaritan later heard the dog’s yelps and called Montgomery County Animal Care and Control, who took the puppy to Eastview Vet Clinic.
Grace suffered from a crushed pelvis and is unable to move. The veterinarian said she may need surgery and will likely make a full recovery afterward.
The clinic and local animal advocate hope the costs of Grace’s care and surgery can be offset by the GoFundMe set up for her.
As of Wednesday, no owner has yet come forward to claim Grace.
