TORONTO (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – Tearra Banks, a recent graduate and alumnae of the Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team, has signed to play professionally and will play the upcoming season for Bnot Hertzeliya in Israel’s Division I.

Banks finished her four-year career at Austin Peay by earning 2016-17 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year honors. She averaged 19 points and eight rebounds per game, ranking second and first among conference players in those two categories respectively. Banks also finished 13th nationally with a 59.9 field-goal percentage as a senior.

The Louisville, Kentucky native began her Austin Peay career by earning OVC All-Newcomer team honors after earning Freshman of the Week honors three times in her rookie year. Banks averaged 12.4 points and 5.6 rebounds as a sophomore, despite playing only 20.4 minutes per game. As a junior, she ranked fifth nationally in field goal percentage, making 59.7 percent of her shots while averaging 12.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Banks will join former Governors teammate Tiasha Gray on the Hertzeliya roster. Last season, Bnot Hertzeliya finished third in Division I and reached the tournament semifinals.
