EDDYVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Kentucky State Police have arrested two Missouri men for trafficking drugs following a traffic stop on I-24.
On Thursday at 6:45 a.m., troopers stopped a car for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop troopers smelled marijuana, searched the vehicle, and found approximately four ounces of high grade marijuana, numerous packages of Fentanyl, pills believed to be Adderall, numerous items of drug paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking, and over $3,000 in cash.
These items were seized and both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
The driver of the vehicle, Logan, W. Daugherty, age 21, of Blue Springs, Missouri, was charged with First Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), Trafficking Marijuana, Second Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Amphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Seat Belt.
The passenger, Thomas A. Gouldsmith, age 21, of Blue Springs, Missouri, was charged with Trafficking Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
