CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A convicted felon is facing additional charges after allegedly pointing a pistol at another man during a road rage incident.
According to an arrest warrant, police responded to a road rage call July 15 on 41A S. near Bagwell Rd. The victim said a white male in a camo hat driving a red Ford F-150 pointed a small silver pistol at him.
The victim was able to identify the suspect’s license plate number and the officer was able to track down the truck at a residence.
The suspect, 35-year-old Guy Suiter, told the officer he is a convicted felon and did not have a gun in his truck because he is not allowed to possess one. However, the officer said in the report that he could see a small silver pistol tucked between the driver’s seat and middle cushion.
The officer tried to take Suiter into custody but said he physically and verbally resisted. Once he was detained, the officer determined he was a convicted felon.
The victim was brought to the scene and positively identified Suiter and the pistol.
Suiter was charged with aggravated assault, felon going armed, possession of a firearm during a felony, and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $110,000.
