HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) -The Medical Staff and Board of Trustees of Jennie Stuart Health in Hopkinsville have announced the winners of the Henry R. Bell, MD Scholarship Funds Award.

Brett Voth from Todd County High School, Victoria E. Ricks from Trigg County High School, and Jahnyri Gittens from Christian County High School, each earned a $2,000 scholarship to help them pursue careers in medicine.

Brett plans to attend the University of Louisville and study Music Therapy; Victoria will attend Western Kentucky University to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and Jahnyri will study at Campbellsville University to become a Psychiatric Nurse.

The scholarships are awarded each year to three students planning a career in the healthcare field who demonstrate strong motivation and are in need of financial assistance.

Dr. Bell was a family practice physician at Jennie Stuart for many years and also founded Bell Clinic in Elkton, KY.
