OAK GROVE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Half Pint Liquors will collect clothing donations on behalf of Youth Villages June 30 through July 4 at 9 p.m.

The owners of Half Pint Liquors, Rebecca Grunwald and Adam Simon, said they were surprised to hear that Youth Villages will take in an average of 750 children a day into foster care in the Middle Tennessee area, and many are taken with only the clothes on their back.

They decided to sponsor a clothing drive to promote awareness and help these children.

Half Pint Liquors will collect gently used clothing of all sizes from newborn to teens as well as new still-in-the-package undergarments. They will also accept backpacks, small duffel bags, or small luggage so children will have a bag to carry their clothing.

Youth Villages is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to helping emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families live successfully. For more information, visit the TN section of the website.

Half Pint Liquors, located in Oak Grove, was opened in October of 2015 and continues to help work with Bikers Who Care, Clarksville Chive, as well as helping to build ramps for those in need.
