CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The Clarksville-Montgomery County Adult Literacy Council is offering a free class for seniors to learn basic computer and social media skills.
The goal of the class is to allow this age bracket to communicate with family and friends via Facebook. First-time computer users will be introduced to computer basics and given practical tips for using social media.
According to Pew Research Center, internet use among those 65 and older grew 150 percent between 2009 and 2011. Those numbers are expected to increase.
