CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce recently joined Trendsetters in Clarksville as they celebrated 30 years. Founder and owner, Annette Myers, shared some history of the business.
Myers said Trendsetters opened in 1987 in the old Alamo Plaza on Wilma Rudolph Blvd and set the trend of being the first booth rental salon in Clarksville. “It enabled stylists to rent space and enabled them to be a business owner,” said Myers.
In 1993 Trendsetter moved to Warfield Boulevard and then back to a location on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in 2000 for 14 years before making the move to their present location at 139 E. Old Trenton Road.
“We’ve been truly blessed in the Clarksville community and Clarksville has supported us this long. It’s been a beautiful salon in the sense it’s always been a salon with heart. It’s been a great 30 years,” Myers said.
Trendsetters is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. but before and after hours appointments are also available. You can book an appointment 24/7 on their website at trendsetterssalonclarksville.com. You can also call 931-552-6929.
