CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Gabby Welch, a Level 10 Gymnast at Clarksville Elite Gymnastics Center in Clarksville, TN has accepted a full gymnastics scholarship to Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Gabby will join the Huskies for the 2017 / 2018 season.
Gabby is a 6 time L10 State Champion, a Region 8 Balance Beam champion and has qualified to the USA Gymnastics National Invitational Championships twice. Most recently Gabby is one of 6 gymnasts from TN that qualified for the Level 10 JO National Championships held in Indianapolis, IN.
Gabby has trained with coaches Larry Corrigan and Shenette Gavi at Clarksville Elite Gymnastics Center since 2007. Gabby trains 4 to 5 days a week for between 3.5 and 4.5 hours per day.
Gabby’s parents are Billy and Suzie Welch of Greenbrier TN. Gabby has a younger sister, Reagan.
