CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The U.S. Air Force Tactical Air Control Party Association (TACP-A) will host the annual 24-Hour Run fundraiser to support family members of their fallen members.
The event will begin at noon on March 30 and end at noon on March 31 and will take place along the McGregor Park Riverwalk.
Donations collected will benefit the TACP Association, which supports TACPs who are injured on the job, and supports the families of those who have lost their lives in combat or in training. The 24-hour run occurs simultaneously at many locations across the country. The motto of the TACP-A is “To Remember the Fallen, Honor the Living, and Aid Brothers in Need.”
The event is open to anyone who would like to participate for any length of time.
The local TACP-A organization is called Team Antidote in honor of the “Antidote” call sign of the 19th Air Support Operations Squadron at Fort Campbell. TACP troops work with the Army and call in air strikes, and Fort Campbell is home to dozens of TACPs who deploy with the soldiers in combat.
