CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Sora, a new Thai and sushi restaurant, celebrates its grand opening after a year of construction at the intersection of Wilma Rudolph Blvd. and Dunbar Cave Rd.

The owner Zuo Hang Gao, also known as Andy ,and co-owner Hong Lin opened Sora hoping to bring something different to Clarksville by offering what they describe as authentic Thai food. Manager Napoleon Burk describes Sora food as as a fusion with Chinese, Japanese and Thai food in one location.

Burke recommends the Red Curry and for those who may be skeptical of trying Thai food for the first time. He also recommends the House Fried Rice.

When asked what separates Sora from the other restaurants Burke says, “Our family owned atmosphere is a big deal. We have all worked together for a long time and we just want to bring a smile to the people of Clarksville.”

A food review will be coming shortly, however as someone who has never had Thai food before I highly recommended trying Sora’s Red Curry with beef.

Sora serves lunch Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and dinner from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. They are also open Sunday from noon until 9 p.m. They have dine-in and carry-out options. Telephone number is 931-919-2555 or 931-919-2711.

Sora is located where Jade Dragon used to stand before a kitchen fire destroyed the building more than a year ago. Owners of Sora are not affiliated with Jade Dragon.
