CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Montgomery County Assessor of Property, Erinne Hester, was awarded the 2016 Assessor of the Year Award before the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers at the Annual Winter Meeting on December 2, 2016.
The award was presented on behalf of the Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers by the President, Josh Pulse.
“The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers proudly recognizes the accomplishments of Erinne Hester whose professionalism, service and leadership as Assessor of Property for Montgomery County exemplify the ideals, standards and goals of our profession,” said Josh Pulse.
“I certainly didn’t expect to be recognized for an award, let alone the Assessor of the Year. I have met a lot of really good Assessors across the state whom are very deserving of this award and so I am tremendously humbled to be recognized with this honor. With that said, we have a simple motto on my team and that is to do the best we can every day for the citizens of Montgomery County. I am very proud of the team we have and the work we do together, so this award is really for the entire Montgomery County Assessor’s office,” said Erinne Hester, Montgomery County Assessor of Property.
The Tennessee Association of Assessing Officers (TNAAO) is a professional organization composed of the elected officials serving as Assessors of Property in Tennessee. The TNAAO’s purpose is to work on behalf of the people of our great state to ensure fairness and uniformity in statutes regarding the assessment of property, as well as, to promote excellence through best practices and professionalism among those charged with this vital task.
