STEWART COUNTY, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Authorities in Montgomery and Stewart counties are investigating a murder-suicide that happened Friday night.
According to officials, local business owner Ronald Kennedy called his employee and said he killed his wife and was going to kill himself.
Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Stewart County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residences owned by the Kennedys in both counties.
When officers went to their Stewart County home on Cedar Point Road at 6:30 p.m., they found 55-year-old Patricia Kennedy deceased.
Ronald, 57, was also found deceased about an hour later at the couple’s Montgomery County home on St. Paul Road.
Mrs. Kennedy’s death is being investigated by the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
