CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) A Wind Chill Advisory is issued when wind chill is low enough that it poses a threat to human life and health if adequate protection is not taken against hypothermia and frostbite.
People exposed to extreme cold are susceptible to frostbite in a matter of minutes. Hypothermia occurs when the body loses heat faster than it can produce it.
