NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for Middle Tennessee due to smoke associated with wildfires in eastern Kentucky, eastern Tennessee, northern Georgia and western North Carolina.
An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Nashville and surrounding areas including Dickson and Ashland City.
The smoke has settled in across middle Tennessee resulting in a smoky smell in the air and hazy skies.
These conditions could pose problems for the elderly, children, active adults and those with respiratory issues.
Conditions are expected to improve through the day Monday.
