CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library will host the fifth annual Science Fiction and Fantasy Expo on November 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This will be the first year that the event will be held during regular business hours and will allow for expansion of the fun library-wide. The expo is free and open to the public.
The Science Fiction and Fantasy Expo is an annual celebration of science fiction and fantasy genres in literature, comics, film, television, and games. Activities, demonstrations, games, and crafts for all ages will be offered at the highly popular, family-friendly event.

Popular Star Wars cosplayers from the 501st and Rebel Legions and medieval recreators, the Society for Creative Anachronism will be in attendance. In addition, there will be showings of documentaries highlighting important figures in science fiction as well as a student art display.
Activities include a trivia contest, Bingo, and Magic the Gathering game playing for newbies and experienced players. Players can bring their own decks, and starter decks will be available. New activities this year include a Cantina Dance Party with Star Wars themed dance music, with more exciting surprises in store.
Attendees are encouraged to support their favorite fandom by arriving in costume. Face painting services will be offered for those not able to attend in costume or those who would like to enhance their look.
