CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville man has been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun and waving a club at another man during a road rage incident in a Walmart parking lot.
According to an arrest warrant, a police officer met the victim and the suspect Oct. 3 in the parking lot of Walmart on Fort Campbell Blvd. The victim said the suspect, 38-year-old Kenneth Poulsen, pointed a gun at him and said “you don’t want none of this” during a road rage incident.
Poulsen told police there was a handgun in his glove box, which the officer retrieved with permission. A black club was also found in the driver side door of the suspect’s vehicle.
The arrest warrant says that Poulsen admitted to police that he waved the club at the other man, but said he only unholstered his gun and placed it in his glove box. He denied pointing it at the victim.
Both parties provided written statements and police said Poulsen’s had inconsistencies. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $5,000.
