CSM (Ret.) Ralph William Dodson, age 74, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare.

Ralph was born November 28, 1941, in Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas Dodson and Sadie Hardin Dodson. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Lynn Dodson; four brothers, Wayne Dodson, Raymond Dodson, Paul Dodson, and Robert Dodson; and two sisters, Mildred Stagner and Betty Seese.

Ralph was a retired CSM, with 30 years’ experience in the US Army, having served tours in Korea and Vietnam. During his tenure, he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 3, at 12:00 Noon, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville. Visitation will be Monday, October 3, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Opal Creech Dodson; two sons, Steven Frank Dodson and Billy Drake; one daughter, Shannon Edwards; four sisters, Naomi Lewis, Carrie Friend, Judy Barton, and Edith Moody; and two grandchildren, Amanda Souriol and Tyler Dean Edwards.
