CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A 20-month-old girl was bitten by a copperhead snake Wednesday morning at Little Country Schoolhouse on Hwy 76 near Exit 11 in Clarksville.

Deputy Fire Chief Ray Williams confirmed the incident occurred outside the building in a play area with astroturf.

The snake was caught.
