CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Clarksville Academy hosted the Harpeth Indians Friday night at Simpson field. The Cougars got off to a fast start scoring on their first drive when sophomore running back Devin Dillehay scored from 4 yards out giving the Cougars a 7-0 lead.

Freshman kicker Nick Whitlow then added a 27 yard field goal in the second, giving Clarksville Academy a 10-0 lead at the half. But Harpeth would come out second half and score two touchdowns in the 3rd quarter taking the lead 14-10. The Cougars would answer with a 2 yard touchdown run by Dillehay and recaptured the lead, 17-14.

Dillehay finished the night with 175 yards on 26 carries. But the Indians were not done. Harpeth added a late 4th quarter score to regain the lead 21-17. CA had one last drive, but came up short. Clarksville Academy travels to Eagleville next Friday.
