CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two dogs were rescued after a man was arrested for aggravated cruelty to animals on May 2.

According to an arrest warrant, Travis Williams failed to provide food or water to his two dogs. This resulted in one of the dogs, a five month old puppy, weighing approximately 5.6 pounds upon arrival.

The puppy was severely dehydrated and needed immediate IV fluids.

There was no information in the warrant regarding the condition of the second dog.

Williams was arrested and charged with animal cruelty. His bond was set at $2,500.
