CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A man who thought he locked himself out of his house was greeted by an armed burglar.
According to an arrest warrant, the victim came home to his residence on West Park Dr. April 22 and realized he left his keys inside the home. As he began to climb through a window, he saw a man inside the house who allegedly pointed a handgun at him.
The victim told police that the suspected burglar said he was a bail bondsman and was in the wrong house.
The man ran and hid behind a car to call police and the suspect fled on foot.
Officers located a witness who said the suspect had entered the residence through a back door.
Police were able to apprehend the suspect nearby and also discovered a backpack inside the house with a gun inside that the victim said belonged to the suspect.
During an interview the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Robert Bosch, reportedly admitted to entering the home through an unlocked back door. He said he was looking for money or jewelry to purchase drugs.
He was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.
Bosch has a previous history of burglary and felony theft. An arrest warrant from April 9 indicates that he was arrested for allegedly burglarizing a residence on N. 2nd Street.
He was also charged with criminal attempt in January after he reportedly attempted to steal a Samsung TV box on display outside Aaron’s Rentals. Bosch thought a TV was inside the box, but it actually contained rocks to weigh it down.
