CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A home on Bradbury Road in the Bradbury Farms subdivision was destroyed by fire in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Firefighters responded to the scene around midnight, according to Montgomery County Deputy Fire Chief Ed Baggett.
When he arrived on the scene shortly afterward, Chief Baggett said the house was fully engulfed and the roof had already collapsed.
A smoke detector woke the homeowner, who discovered flames and smoke on the back deck. A charcoal grill had been knocked over, which the homeowner believes is the cause of the blaze.
No injuries were reported, and the home is a total loss. The incident is under investigation.
