OAK GROVE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – In the midst of a recent investigation by the Kentucky State Police (KSP), former chief of the Oak Grove Police Department Les Langdon has been relieved of his duties.
Langdon and Major Jozef Alter were suspended without pay approximately two months ago while KSP conducted an investigation on the grounds of possible criminal activity.
Alter has since resigned from his position with the department.

Detective Dan Morck with the Drug Enforcement Special Investigation Section of KSP said he has concluded his part of the investigation and turned his findings over to the Christian County Attorney for review.
The attorney will decide whether to assign a special prosecutor to the case or decline prosecution.
Det. Morck would not comment on the results, but did indicate two incidents on July 27, 2015 that were part of the investigation.
One incident involved a domestic disturbance related to an Oak Grove city councilman. The other incident involved a traffic crash with Alter in his personal vehicle.
“Basically I was looking to see if it was handled properly by the supervision of Oak Grove,” Morck said.
Major Dennis Cunningham assumed responsibility of the Oak Grove Police Department in the interim and has now been appointed Police Chief. He was sworn in during a ceremony at the precinct Monday, March 28.
