Bobby Dean Stanley, 81, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at his residence.
Bobby was born on October 22, 1934, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Elzie “Ike” Stanley and Evangeline Nolen Stanley. Bobby was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Van Head Stanley.
Graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with Rev. Willie Lyle officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service to follow at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
Bobby was a retired Lieutenant with the Tennessee Public Service Commission. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 761, the York Rites, the Scottish Rites, and the Shriner Alma Temple. He was a Deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. He also started the Sango Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter and built the first fire truck.
Bobby is survived by his two daughters, Rosemary Page (Tommy) of Chapmansboro, TN and Pamela Joy Stanley of Clarksville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Mike Wolfe, Greg Wolfe, Randy Wolfe, Greg Oliver, Bill Holt, Bud Wilson, Jeff White, Eddie Luczynski, and Courtney Leudenburg. Honorary pallbearers will be Dodson Guinn, Willie Ray Nicholson, Jack Stanley, Ray Coggins, Frank Matthews, Jerry Simpson, Gene Sanders, Martin Dowlen, Mike Bowers, Bill Smith, and Larry Alford.
