CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The ClarksVillain Roller Girls, a women’s flat-track roller derby team, will bring live, fast-paced, roller derby action to the Clarksville Speedway Saturday, March 19.

The team has chosen to donate a portion of the proceeds from this game to a local charity, the Serenity House Women’s Shelter of Clarksville.

Though the ClarksVillain Roller Girls are a not-for-profit organization, it’s important to them as a team that they give back to the community as much as possible. ClarksVillain Ness U Up says, “I’m proud and I love that our team tries to stay involved. We are present. It’s a good feeling.”

The front door of the event will also serve as a drop-off point for non-monetary donations. The shelter has immediate need for:
Travel Size Toiletries (toothpaste, shampoo, etc.)
Deodorant
Feminine Hygiene Products
Baby Wipes
Toothbrushes
Combs and Hair Brushes
Bar soap

The Clarksville Speedway is located at 1600 Needmore Road. Doors open at 5 p.m. The game will be a double-header, with the main event beginning at 6 p.m. as the Clarksvillain Roller Girls take on the Rollergirls of Central Kentucky from Lexington, KY. The second game will begin at approximately 7 p.m. and will be a co-ed, all-star mash-up, featuring men and women from five different states.

Parking is free at the Boyscout Road Entrance. Pre-sale tickets are $9 and available online at http://clarksvillainsmarch.brownpapertickets.com. Tickets at the door will be $12. Beer and other concessions will be sold, must be at least 21 years old to drink.
