CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office hosted their 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off on Friday, February 26. The event kicks-off the Sheriff’s Office annual fundraising for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

There were a dozen entries in the contest from sheriff’s deputies and members of the sheriff’s office as well as Montgomery County Government staff. The event raised $208 which will go to the Montgomery County Relay for Life.

The competition was tough, but tasteful. Winners of the Sheriff’s Chili Cook-Off were Lieutenant John Stone taking 1st Place and the Golden Ladle, , 2nd Place went to Corporal Jaclynn Williams with the Silver Ladle, and 3rd Place, the Bronze Ladle, went to Investigator Mark Stone.

Judges for the Chili Cook-Off were Montgomery County Communications Director, Elizabeth Black, County Emergency Management Director, Jerry Buchannan, Emergency Medical Services Director, Jimmie Edwards and Lee Erwin from 5 Star Media Group.
