CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Two men have been arrested for allegedly impersonating Clarksville police officers and illegally pulling citizens over.
Police issued a warning about the men last week, and throughout the course of the investigation night shift Patrol Officers were able to take photos of individuals who matched the descriptions of the impersonators.
The suspects were brought in for interviews and police said they confessed.
Brett Jewell and William Jones, both Fort Campbell soldiers, were booked into Montgomery County Jail Tuesday, Feb. 23 and charged with three counts of criminal impersonation. Their bonds were set at $30,000 each.
