EVANSVILLE, Indiana – A Clarksville, Tennessee is wanted for a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday, Feb. 13 in Indiana.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports that a warrant has been issued for 26-year-old Gerrod D. Pointer. He is accused of fatally shooting an Evansville man.
Authorities said Pointer is still at large.
The Courier & Press obtained the probable cause affidavit filed against Pointer, which states that Pointer shot Maurice U. Heyward early Saturday morning outside the Lucky Lady Lounge, 523 N. Main St.
Heyward, 38, was shot once in the upper torso died at the hospital shortly afterward.
According to the affidavit obtained by The Courier & Press, a relative of Pointer’s identified him from surveillance footage outside the club.
