CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One of the highlights of the year was the release of the debut EP by Clarksville singer Clairity.
Born Claire Rachel Wilkinson, Clairity’s Alienation EP was championed by Q108 and also caught the attention of Billboard Magazine, which said “Synth-pop fans need to get hip to Clairity immediately.”
Q108’s Scott Chase said the station got behind Clairity on the merits of her record, not because she’s from Clarksville. “This was as good or better than anything else we were playing. Really strong and truly impressive,” he said.
The web site popdust.com included Clairity’s “DNA” on their list of the Top 20 Songs of 2015 alongside Adele, Justin Bieber and Chvrches.
