CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A local pastor wants to spread his message about Christmas, and this year he has big ambitions.

Pastor Jimmy Terry of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville began creating yard signs a few years ago to pass out to the community.

The signs reading “Christmas is all about Jesus” are meant to share what Pastor Terry says is the true reason for the season.

This year, he’s spreading that message across the entire state of Tennessee as well as others, including Texas, Georgia and Arkansas, according to WKRN News 2.

Pastor Terry is getting help from his friends at other churches, including Pastor James Shepherd with New Faith Baptist Church.

“It’s not about an individual church; it’s about the kingdom of God,” pastor Shepherd told News 2.

Donations from the community will help pay for all 20,000 signs.

At a production cost of $3 each, that is a total of $60,000.

Pastor Terry said he wants to spread the signs across the entire country next Christmas.

He also spreads the word during Easter. He spent $100,000 on signs this past spring.
