FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – Due to unusual weather impacts on construction, the reopening of Gate 1 has been delayed for at least 2 weeks.
Fort Campbell officials made the announcement on Facebook.
Gate 1 and the Lee Road area have been closed since Sept. 28 for construction.
Included in the construction project are improvements on Gate 1, widening of Lee Road from Bastogne Avenue to 101st Airborne Division Road, improvements to the Family Resource Center overflow parking lot, and the addition of a roundabout.
The initial reopening was scheduled for Dec. 1.
Officials said they will update the community when a more definite re-opening date is available.
