CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville couple has been charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect after their home was found in ‘deplorable’ condition.
Officers stated in arrest warrants that there was no food in the house and human and animal feces were spread on the floors, walls, and beds.
The children were naked and unbathed and bugs were found throughout the residence.
The arrest warrants say Michael Zagumny, 25, and Makaila Zagumny, 23, told police they accepted full responsibility for the condition of the home.
Both were charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Their bonds were each set at $20,000.
