Walter Robert Waskiewicz, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Centennial Medical Center, in Nashville.
Walter was born in 1931, in Millbury, MA, to the late Aldof Waskiewicz and Ella Lidlerewicz Waskiewicz. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joe Waskiewicz; and two sisters, Wanda Jochiem and Sally Arquette.
Mr. Waskiewicz was retired from the US Army, having served tours in Korea and Vietnam. He owned Fort Campbell Cab Company for ten years. Walter was a member of Forest Street United Methodist Church and VFW Lodge 11160.
Graveside service will be held Friday, November 6, at 1:00 PM, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with full military honors. Rev. Sonny Kim will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, November 6, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
Walter is survived by his wife of 41 years, Edna Waskiewicz; two sons, Walter B. Waskiewicz and David (Julia) Waskiewicz, both of Clarksville; daughter, Karen Ann Waskiewicz of Clarksville; stepson, Erle (Belinda) Crockarell of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Military personnel will serve as pallbearers.
