Nancy Haley Covington, age 95, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Grace Healthcare.

Nancy was born April 5, 1920, in Montgomery County, TN, to the late John Henry Haley and Susie Pearce Haley. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Rosie Stamper Haley; four brothers, John H. Haley, Jr, Herman Haley, Wayne “Shorty” Haley, and William Wright; and one sister, Louise Newcomb.

Mrs. Covington retired from the Acme Boot Company and also worked at Booster Manufacturing Company for 15 years. Nancy was also the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of St. Bethlehem.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 7, at 12:00 Noon, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeff Burris officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, in Trenton, KY. Visitation will be Friday, November 6, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and Saturday, November 7, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

Nancy is survived by two sons, John (Linda) Covington of Clarksville, and Henry (Phyllis) Covington of Trenton, KY; four daughters, Martha Bourne of Clarksville, Nancy Louise Thompson of Texas, Susie (Billy) Huff of Clarksville, and Teresa Broom of Oak Grove, KY; one brother, George “Pete” Wright; three sisters, Josephine “Jo” Parker, Mary Dowdy, and Dorothy Gibbs, all of Clarksville; 21 grandchilren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Terry Huff, Brad Huff, Michael Huff, Todd Covington, Chris Bateman, and Josh Bateman.
