CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A juvenile has been charged after 20 homes were vandalized in the Meriwether Farms subdivision off Exit 1 last week. Charges for two other juveniles are pending, according to the Clarksville Police Department.
Between the evening hours of October 12, 2015 and the early morning hours of October 13, 2015, multiple homes near the Glenhurst Way and Harvest Ridge areas, off Meriwether Rd., were vandalized. The suspects painted graffiti on the houses, the garage doors, the fences, and other parts of some of the homes.
The majority of the homes had the number “527” painted on them. Throughout the investigation, “527” was identified as the day seniors will graduate from high school.
The three juvenile suspects were taken into custody Oct. 19. Detective Chris Cunningham filed 14 Juvenile Petitions (1 Petition per home vandalized) on one of the three juveniles. The offense for all 14 Petitions was vandalism.
The juvenile who has already been charged was also a runaway. Charges are pending for the other two juveniles.
